NET Desktop Software Engineer - Aberdeen – Permanent Hybrid 3 days on site, 2 days remote No sponsorship available Key Responsibilities Must Have Design, develop, and maintain complex desktop and cloud applications using modern software engineering practices, including design patterns, SOLID principles, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Git Hub Copilot, code-generation tools, and automated testing assistants to improve productivity and code quality.

Collaborate closely with the Team Lead and Product Owner to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.

Communicate risks, trade-offs, progress, and technical challenges effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Continuously evaluate and adopt relevant technologies, frameworks, cloud services, and AI-assisted development tools.

Experience working within Agile software development environments.

Nice to Have Experience modernizing legacy software and migrating mature C/C++ codebases to modern technologies while maintaining performance and accuracy.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Hands-on experience building, configuring, or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools.

Experience modernizing desktop applications, including UI/UX improvements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
