We’re looking for an experienced Construction Manager with a strong civils background to support a major Pipeline Improvement Project at Wytch Farm.
The project involves civil excavations, HDD work, steel line pulls, mechanical pipework installation and associated works — so we need someone who’s been in the thick of this type of environment before and knows how to run a site properly.
This role is Inside IR35, Day rate and as no lodge is to be paid you must either live within a daily commutable distance or be happy to relocate for contract duration.
The Role
You will:
- Lead and coordinate all site-based construction activities.
- Manage multiple contractors and keep everyone aligned and moving.
- Chair / attend progress and construction coordination meetings.
- Ensure work is delivered safely, to schedule and to the required spec.
- Review and approve method statements, lifting plans, work packs etc.
- Maintain close communication with project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with PUK QHSE standards and permit-to-work controls.
- Oversee handover to mechanical completion / commissioning.
What We’re Looking For
- HNC (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator (minimum)
- Confident reading & understanding construction drawings
- Experience working in environmentally sensitive areas
- Strong leadership and contractor management skills
- Solid understanding of Control of Work, PTW and site safety
- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical background preferred (not a dealbreaker if the civils experience is strong)
