Aker Solutions are seeking a senior-level subsea pre-commissioning engineer to support subsea and pipeline scopes for BP West of Shetland work. This position is focused on delivering high-quality pre-commissioning engineering outputs and providing technically sound support across project interfaces. This role will particularly suit a self-sufficient engineer who can work independently, take ownership of technical deliverables, and contribute practical subsea insight across complex offshore energy scopes. The role may broaden for candidates who can also provide subsea project engineering support and/or offshore field capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide subsea and pipeline pre-commissioning engineering support for called-off scopes
- Develop methodologies, detailed procedures, bridging documents, and supporting risk assessments
- Produce execution narratives and pictorial storyboards where required
- Support technical assurance and ensure compliance with client requirements, specifications, and applicable subsea technical practices
- Liaise with client representatives, internal disciplines, and third-party vendors to support scope delivery
- Review pre-commissioning work scopes and provide technical input into ongoing subsea activities
What We’re Looking For
- Extensive oil and gas industry experience
- Strong subsea and pipeline pre-commissioning engineering background
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Broader subsea project engineering experience is advantageous
