NES Fircroft are partnering with our major Engineering & Services client to provide an Electrical Design Engineer for a major Nuclear project. This is a long-term project with potential for 3+ years work, with a minimum of 37 hours per week over 4.5 days. Hybrid working is available, requiring 3 days in the Warrington office per week.
Role Overview: To work within the end client's design team delivering, supporting others delivering and checking electrical design packages to meet safety, functional and business needs.
Essential Qualifications:
- Academic Qualification: Minimum - HNC
- Professional Qualification: Minimum - Incorporated Engineer
Proven Experience:
- Delivering as an Electrical Design Engineer on external multidiscipline projects, from concept design through to handover.
- Working knowledge of the appropriate Engineering Standards governing Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing.
Experience Generating:
- Small power cable calculations, both by hand and using Trimble ProDesign (Amtech).
- Lighting calculations, both by hand and using DIALux evo.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to convey information to other team members/disciplines.
- Providing support to Construction.
- Providing support to Commissioning.
- Willingness to support early career engineers.
Desirable Knowledge:
- Engineering Standards governing Electrical Supply Infrastructure: Small power, lighting and earthing.
- Process Instrumentation.
- Radiometric & Special Instruments.
