Overview

NES Fircroft on behalf of a leading Oil & Gas Operator is hiring an onshore Instrument Technician for an ongoing contract at the Dimlington Gas Terminal. This role is suitable for an experienced and motivated Instrument Technician to join the client’s team.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi‑skilled maintenance team to safely operate and maintain the Dimlington Terminal within operational and maintenance procedures.
  • Maximise plant availability for processing gas received from offshore fields.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance tasks to required standards while minimising impact on production.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs promptly and effectively.
  • Complete Maximo work orders and raise new requests to report equipment failures.
  • Support project delivery, liaising with vendors and sub‑contractors as required.
  • Manage spares and test gases for gas monitor testing and calibration.
  • Promote and adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of shutdown works to minimise outages.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Time-served trade apprenticeship.
  • HNC qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Valid Compex certification.
  • Compression fittings and small bore tubing training (desirable).
  • Experience with turbine control systems would be a distinct advantage.

  • 7 days on / 7 days off rotation.
  • No lodge or accommodation is provided.
  • Must reside within the UK.
