Type: Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Instrument Technician to join a leading process manufacturing business operating a high-hazard COMAH site.

Working within a multidisciplinary maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, safety and performance of critical instrumentation across a continuous process manufacturing environment.

Key

Responsibilities Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on instrumentation and control systems.

Fault find, repair and install instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow and level devices.

Perform hazardous area inspections and installations in accordance with IEC60079 .

Maintain control valves, ESD valves and associated control systems.

Support installation, commissioning and continuous improvement projects.

Work within Permit to Work and Control of Work systems.

Supervise contractors and support apprentices where required.

Record maintenance activities using SAP or similar CMMS.

Experience & Qualifications You will have experience within the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas or other COMAH process industries Recognised apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3/ONC or equivalent. Current Comp Ex Ex01-04 certification. Strong knowledge of ATEX , hazardous area equipment and instrument fault finding. Experience with DCS, PLC and ESD systems. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs and electrical schematics. Knowledge of control valves, instrumentation and small bore tubing.

Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills.

Experience with SAP PM , 18th Edition , HNC qualifications or hazardous area installations would be advantageous. TPBN1_UKTJ
