Procurement Specialist
Energy & Utilities Teesside Permanent I'm recruiting for an established energy-intensive chemical manufacturing business in Teesside looking to appoint a Procurement Specialist with a strong focus on energy procurement and market strategy.
You'll be responsible for: Developing procurement strategies across electricity, natural gas, utilities and emissions allowances.
Leading energy sourcing, including fixed, indexed and blended pricing models.
Monitoring energy markets, pricing trends and regulatory developments.
Managing relationships with energy suppliers, brokers and intermediaries.
Supporting energy budgeting, forecasting, consumption analysis and cost modelling.
Identifying opportunities around green electricity, PPAs, biomethane and solar.
Developing strategies to manage energy price volatility and supply risk.
Supporting wider carbon reduction and sustainability initiatives.
Procurement Specialist - We're looking for: 5+ years' procurement/sourcing experience.
Proven experience negotiating in commercially complex or volatile markets.
Strong understanding of energy procurement, utilities or energy markets.
Strong analytical and commercial skills.
Ideally experience within chemical, process, manufacturing, industrial or other energy-intensive environments.
Experience with CCL, EII, NCC, CPS or renewable energy procurement would be advantageous.
