Neruda Capital is a proprietary trading and risk management firm focused on the global energy complex. From our base in Dubai, we trade listed and OTC derivatives across crude oil, fuel oil, and refined products, with exposure to major benchmarks including Brent, WTI, and Dubai. Our approach combines fundamental insight, macro analysis, and disciplined risk management to generate consistent returns across markets.

We are seeking an experienced paper fuel oil trader to join our derivatives trading desk in Dubai or London. The successful candidate will focus on identifying and executing trading opportunities across global crude benchmarks and related spreads, operating within defined risk parameters and contributing directly to the firm's overall P&L.

Key Responsibilities
  • Trade Fuel oil swaps across ICE, CME and OTC markets — outrights, spreads, cracks, and inter-commodity structures.
  • Develop and execute directional, relative value, and macro-driven trading strategies.
  • Monitor global crude fundamentals, flows, OPEC policy, refinery margins and macroeconomic drivers influencing price action.
  • Manage risk, exposure, and daily P&L in line with internal limits and desk strategy.
  • Maintain and refine analytical models, pricing tools, and trade logs to support decision-making.
  • Liaise closely with operations, risk and compliance teams to ensure accurate trade capture, reporting, and governance.
  • Share market views and contribute to Neruda's broader energy trading strategy.
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience trading fuel oil swaps (proprietary, hedge fund, or trading house background preferred).
  • Demonstrable track record of P&L generation and disciplined risk control.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical mindset with macro awareness.
  • High self-motivation, integrity, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Why Join Neruda Capital

We offer a flat, entrepreneurial structure where traders have autonomy to develop and manage strategies backed by robust risk, operations, and compliance infrastructure.
