The practice covers MD and VP-level hiring across investment banking, M&A, debt advisory, leveraged finance and private capital, with clients spanning major banks, independent advisors and PE firms across London, Europe and North America. This is an execution role. Origination is a team sport - you will be brought into client meetings, briefings and pitches from the outset.

The expectation is that you lead on VP-level mandates quickly, build genuine candidate relationships, and cover the market with rigour and discretion. They are phone-first. Mapping, long-listing and progress reports are the foundation, but the people who have done well here are proactive, considered, and not afraid to get after it.

Compensation is discretionary and deal-by-deal. 40% of every placement at execution level, rising to 50% once billings exceed £500k. Base £40-65k depending on experience. They are based in Bank.

The right profile is 18 months to four years in financial services search or high-quality contingent recruitment, with genuine coverage of investment banking, PE, or capital markets.
