There is no business development in this role; it is focused on execution. The company has deep penetration in the London insurance market with 68 clients, roughly a third of the market share. The hedge fund, AI, and research arm is where the growth is, and this hire will be part of that. The client base includes a fund with 16 portfolio companies, including AI startups, F1 operations, and PE-backed businesses. They run all contract work for these clients exclusively. Their sister business has a 200-hire mandate being scoped currently, covering Director to IC Engineering roles. The desk operates with a 50/50 split between the UK and US, skewing more towards the US at the leadership level. This desk does not require more clients; it needs someone who can execute at the level the roles demand.
