To support our growth, we are on the hunt for a dynamic Merchandiser to complement our existing team.
The pace is fast, fun and collaborative, so you'll need to bring a solid commercial awareness and a methodical approach in managing correct stock levels, while being able to think on your feet. You will be responsible for the creation and execution of own product categories strategies through planning and trading the business. Managing required stock levels and curating premium and profitable product ranges in line with Neptune brand values.
You’ll also contribute to the ongoing development of the merchandising team, inspiring them to achieve their best and leading them to success.
In The World Of Merchandising At Neptune You’ll Support With Curating a Product Range That Will Deliver Against Our Planned Sales Growth By:
- Setting up WSSI's prior to the start of the season with Sales, Stock, Margin, Intake/OTB Plans, by category
- Managing department markdowns, margins and closing stocks, ensuring maximum profitability
- Maintaining and updating weekly sales, stock and intake on a weekly basis and highlighting any risks or opportunities by category
- Supporting Merchandising Lead in coordinating consolidation of total sales, stock and product summaries across UK and China
- Ensuring all plans meet sales, stock and customer demands
- Forecasting product sales and stock for the upcoming periods, accurately predicting requirements to fulfil customer demands
- Instigating strategies to manage underperforming and overperforming product lines based on sales data and range analysis
- Managing and developing ongoing and future key merchandising business reporting in conjunction with the Merchandising Lead
- Other tasks that contribute to the development and success of the Merchandising department

We are looking for someone with demonstrable solid previous experience in a similar level role in a retail business with a broad knowledge of commercial and trading. You'll have excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret, communicate and present complex technical information to others in a clear and understandable way, and most importantly aspire to deliver above and beyond the call of duty every single day.
