The Opportunity
Our degree apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to apply your academic learning in a real-world business context and accelerate the start of your career in technology and financial services through our four-year combined study and work programme. You will gain a recognised degree from the University of Warwick, a renowned Russell Group university – without tuition or student loan debt.
What you'll do at work
- Day-to-day support of critical business applications within a fast-paced Financial Services environment with exposure to senior stakeholders within Technology and Quant departments.
- Working directly with a wide range of platforms and technologies including, but not limited to Kubernetes, Windows/Linux Server, Observability Tools, Infrastructure Management, Enterprise Batch Scheduling, Database and Scripting/Automation (Python/PowerShell).
- Triage and root cause analysis of production incidents to minimise impact to the business and improve stability.
- Contributing to delivery of AI powered solutions for Incident Management.
- Fielding critical user service requests.
- Executing and improving release management and business continuity processes.
As you progress, you’ll be involved in a wide range of projects, working closely with experienced professionals to develop your skills. In your third and fourth years, you'll get the opportunity to specialise in areas of interest such as Software Engineering and Data Analysis, working closely with industry experts in these fields. Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will be a highly-skilled member of the Neptune North team, with multiple career possibilities. The programme will begin in September 2027.
Our Support
We will support you in your learning and development both on and off the job through a variety of avenues:
- 20% of your time during the working week will be allocated to your university studies.
- We will give you an internal mentor to provide career and professional development guidance.
- You will have regular check-in meetings with your line manager to evaluate your progress – both in work and in your studies.
What makes a great candidate

Qualifications
Very strong GCSE grades and a minimum of AAA predicted at A-Level. Any job offer is subject to meeting the required A-Level results and successful university application. If this is not achieved on results day, the offer of employment will regrettably be withdrawn.
