We're delighted to be opening Neptune Newcastle very soon, and are looking for a warm and personable Visual Merchandising Specialist and Design Advisor on a permanent basis working 40 hours per week over 5 days covering Monday to Sunday. You'll be someone who loves making people feel welcome, has exceptional customer service experience, a keen eye for interiors, and brings energy and organisation to everything you do.
As a Visual Merchandising and Design Advisor at Neptune, you will help bring our design philosophy to life within beautifully considered showroom spaces that invite customers to explore, imagine and feel at home. With a thoughtful eye for detail and a genuine passion for interiors, you'll craft inspiring visual displays that celebrate craftsmanship, quality and timeless living, while also offering warm, knowledgeable guidance to customers discovering our collections - from thoughtful gifting and styling to whole-home design. Blending creativity with a consultative, service-led approach, you'll help every customer feel inspired, confident and truly welcomed in the world of Neptune.
Day to day, you'll:
- Create beautiful, inspiring showroom displays that reflect Neptune's design philosophy and celebrate craftsmanship, materials, and thoughtful living.
- Offer friendly, expert advice on styling, gifting, furniture, and whole-home design to help customers feel confident and at home.
- Use creative visual storytelling and consultative guidance to showcase products and encourage discovery.
- Maintain an impeccably presented showroom that feels calm, inviting, and reflective of Neptune's brand.
- Help implement product launches, display changes, and local marketing initiatives with flair and attention to detail.
- Support stock management, daily operations, and customer care to ensure a seamless experience for all.
We're looking for someone with proven experience in visual merchandising or a design-led retail environment, who has a natural eye for interiors, styling, colour, and space planning. You'll be passionate about creating beautiful, immersive showroom experiences and confident in guiding customers with a consultative, customer-first approach. Commercially aware, you understand how visual merchandising supports sales, and you're comfortable using tools like Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Above all, you're approachable, warm, and collaborative, thriving as part of a supportive team while bringing energy, adaptability, and a love of design to everything you do.
