At Neptune, growth doesn't happen by accident. The information below covers the role requirements, expected candidate experience, and accompanying qualifications. We're looking for a commercially minded Marketing Analyst to help us do exactly that - turn data into decisions, and decisions into measurable growth. This isn't a reporting role. You won't be buried in dashboards. Instead, you'll work at the heart of our marketing team - identifying opportunities, designing experiments, and helping us understand what really drives customer behaviour across both eCommerce and physical stores. If you're someone who likes asking 'what if?' and proving it with data, you'll fit right in.

What you'll be doing:

  • Partner with marketing channel leads (paid search, paid social, CRM) to identify and unlock performance improvement opportunities.
  • Analyse campaign performance across the funnel to understand drivers of acquisition, conversion, and customer value.
  • Deliver clear, actionable insights that improve marketing efficiency and drive customer growth.
  • Design and evaluate experiments (including incrementality tests) to measure and optimise marketing impact.
  • Build and refine customer segmentation and audience strategies to improve targeting and engagement.
  • Analyse customer lifecycle behaviour to identify opportunities to increase retention, frequency, and lifetime value.
  • Use SQL and Python/R to interrogate data, investigate anomalies, and develop models that support optimisation and decision-making.

About you:

You'll bring strong SQL skills, with experience using Python or R to analyse large datasets, and familiarity with modern cloud platforms (GCP, Snowflake or Databricks). You will also have a solid grounding in experimentation and measurement, including statistical testing, incrementality, and attribution modelling (ideally including exposure to marketing mix modelling), with the ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable insight. Bringing experience analysing marketing performance across paid media and CRM, ideally within retail or eCommerce, you will also have an understanding of lifecycle metrics like retention, frequency, and lifetime value. We are looking for someone who is curious with a commercially minded approach - comfortable working cross-functionally, influencing decisions with data, and balancing attention to detail with the bigger picture. You'll play a key role in shaping how we grow - helping us invest smarter, engage customers better, and build sustainable, long-term performance.
