We're looking for a bright, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant (Kitchen Porter) to join our passionate café team, on a part time basis, working 12 hours a week (covering Saturday & Sunday). You'll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly - you'll work very closely with our kitchen team to ensure that everything is sparkling clean, well-stocked and organised behind the scenes, helping deliver a truly memorable experience for our customers.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Supporting the kitchen team - helping with basic prep and ensuring dishes are ready to delight our guests
- Keeping things spotless - making sure pots, pans, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned thoroughly and always available when needed
- Maintaining kitchen flow - keeping everything organised, well-stocked, and running efficiently behind the scenes
- Following health & safety standards - ensuring all cleaning routines, food safety practices and hygiene checks are followed carefully
- Taking pride in your work - knowing that your role plays a big part in delivering the calm, professional, and high-quality environment we're known for
You'll ideally bring some experience in a kitchen or back-of-house setting - but your eagerness to learn and pitch in is just as important. You'll have a genuine sense of pride in keeping things clean, tidy and running smoothly and a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed. You'll need the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team and flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends - our café is open seven days a week.
