At Neptune, every product we create tells a story-of craftsmanship, purpose, and the quiet beauty of considered design. Behind the curtain of our collections sits our Merchandising team, making sure everything arrives just as it should: in the right place, at the right time, in just the right amount. As our Senior Merchandiser, you\’ll play a central role in shaping that story.
We\’re looking for someone experienced, commercially curious, and confident leading from the front-someone who thrives on the detail, finds clarity in the numbers, and brings a steady, inspiring presence to the team around them.
You\’ll take full ownership of planning and trading seasons ahead, guiding category performance through clear forecasting, stock management and collaboration with our Buying team. You\’ll ensure our product ranges are not only commercially sound, but beautifully balanced to meet customer needs and support our sales ambitions.
You\’ll also play a vital part in mentoring and developing our merchandising team-sharing your knowledge, lifting standards, and helping us all grow together.
In the world of merchandising at Neptune you\’ll support with curating a product range that will deliver against our planned sales growth by:
- Owning and managing WSSI and OTB for your category
- Forecasting stock and sales, balancing intake, markdowns and margin
- Analysing trading performance and recommend actions
- Collaborating with Buying on future ranges and strategies
- Presenting in weekly trade meetings and report key KPIs
- Supporting and developing junior team members
- Strengthening cross-functional relationships across the business
Life here moves quickly, so you\’ll bring energy, enthusiasm and drive along with a \’can-do\’ attitude and a desire to get stuck in. That said, you\’ll be systematic, but flexible, as you\’ll need to be able to change plans in line with business needs. We are looking for someone with high levels of previous merchandising experience in a retail business with a broad knowledge of commercial and trading. It goes without saying that you\’ll bring advanced excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret, communicate and present complex technical information to others in a clear and understandable way. Experience in homeware is highly advantageous but not essential.
We design with purpose and plan with care. We\’re a business built on thoughtful decisions and timeless ideas, and our team is one of the things we\’re proudest of. If you\’re looking for a place where calm heads, clever thinking and genuine collaboration are valued-you\’ll feel at home here.
