At Neptune, we design for the long term. As a team of designers, engineers and makers, we create furniture and home accessories with purpose, care and craftsmanship. Our aim is simple: to bring beauty and happiness into homes and gardens through thoughtful design and materials made to last a lifetime and beyond. Inspired by the past, we shape a Modern British aesthetic for today, valuing natural materials, practical design and enduring quality.
We are looking for an Art Director & Senior Stylist who instinctively understands the Neptune brand. This is a maternity cover role based at our Wiltshire Support Office in Swindon, where you will lead the visual direction of our photography and video across both lifestyle shoots on location and in-house studio production. You will manage a small, talented team of creatives, alongside trusted freelancers, bringing together concept, styling and execution to ensure everything we produce feels unmistakably Neptune. It is a role that blends creativity with organisation, balancing vision with delivery in a fast-moving retail environment.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the art direction and styling of all lifestyle shoots, brand video, and studio photography.
- Plan and deliver seasonal campaigns from concept and shot lists through to location sourcing and shoot execution.
- Oversee end-to-end production, working closely with the Creative Producer to ensure shoots run smoothly, on time and on budget.
- Translate our visual brand guidelines into consistently high-quality, cohesive creative output.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align on creative requirements across campaigns, product launches and PR.
- Manage post-production, including image selection, retouching direction and asset delivery.
- Lead and support a small in-house team, providing clear creative direction and final sign-off.
About you:
You will bring significant experience (5+ years) in art direction and interiors styling, with confidence leading creative teams, a strong eye for detail and a natural ability to create beautifully considered, brand-aligned imagery. As someone who is highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and moving parts simultaneously, you will take a practical, solutions-focused approach and be comfortable balancing creativity with logistics and budgets.
You will have a good working knowledge of creative tools including Adobe Photoshop, Capture One and Premiere Pro and a strong understanding of both photography and film production processes within interiors and homeware. You will also hold a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly and with occasional stay aways for shoots.
This is an opportunity to shape how Neptune shows up visually, bringing our products, spaces and stories to life in a way that feels both timeless and relevant.
Benefits we can offer you:
- Generous Holiday Allowance
- Life Assurance
- Company sick pay
- Purchased Annual Leave Scheme
- Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
- Cycle to work scheme
- Generous new item and outlet discounts
- Discounted gym membership
- Competitive salary
- Perkbox: Wellbeing Hub and Retail Discounts Portal
- Your birthday day off
- Day off if you become a Grandparent
- Two paid volunteer days a year
- A week off to celebrate a life event
- Refer a friend scheme
- Long service holiday allowance increase
- Training Workshops
