At Neptune, we believe home is where the heart—and the food—is. That's why The Provenist, our very own café, is part of our British interiors brand. Nestled right next door to our stunning showroom and store on Walcot Street, in Bath; it is so much more than just a place to eat. It's where great food, good company, and warm hospitality come together to create a little haven of calm and comfort.

We're looking for a bright, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant (Kitchen Porter) to join our passionate café team, on a part time basis, working 12 hours a week (covering Saturday & Sunday). You'll play a vital role in keeping our kitchen running smoothly - you'll work very closely with our kitchen team to ensure that everything is sparkling clean, well-stocked and organised behind the scenes, helping deliver a truly memorable experience for our customers.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Supporting the kitchen team - helping with basic prep and ensuring dishes are ready to delight our guests
  • Keeping things spotless - making sure pots, pans, utensils, and surfaces are cleaned thoroughly and always available when needed
  • Maintaining kitchen flow - keeping everything organised, well-stocked, and running efficiently behind the scenes
  • Following health & safety standards - ensuring all cleaning routines, food safety practices and hygiene checks are followed carefully
  • Taking pride in your work - knowing that your role plays a big part in delivering the calm, professional, and high-quality environment we're known for

You'll ideally bring some experience in a kitchen or back-of-house setting - but your eagerness to learn and pitch in is just as important. You'll have a genuine sense of pride in keeping things clean, tidy and running smoothly and a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in wherever needed. You'll need the ability to work well as part of a close-knit team and flexibility to work across weekdays and weekends - our café is open seven days a week.

This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a kind, supportive team in a café that's as thoughtful and welcoming as the food we serve. You'll learn new skills, work with fresh local produce, and know that your efforts are key to making every customer's visit a special one.

Benefits we can offer you:

  • Generous Holiday Allowance
  • Life Assurance
  • Company sick pay
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Generous new item and outlet discounts
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Competitive salary
