About the job

As a Presales Solutions Consultant, you will be a key member of our Solution Consulting team, supporting the Go-To-Market (GTM) team in guiding clients toward solving their data challenges with Nephos Technologies solutions and services. You will play a crucial role in understanding customer needs, crafting tailored solutions, and ensuring a smooth transition from presales to delivery for our Data Governance Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), Managed Services, and Consultancy offerings.

This position requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and consultative sales skills to help customers achieve measurable outcomes in Data Governance, Management, Security, and Privacy. You will serve as a trusted advisor, working closely with clients to shape solutions that align with their business and technical objectives, advocating for innovation and service excellence.

Role responsibilities

As a Solution Consultant, you will:

  • Collaborate with the GTM team to understand client challenges and present compelling, tailored solutions using Nephos Technologies offerings.
  • Lead discovery sessions with clients to assess their Data Governance, Management, Security, and Privacy needs.
  • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations, workshops, and statements of work to highlight how Nephos Technologies capabilities will solve client challenges.
  • Support RFP/RFI responses, solution proposals, and commercial discussions to articulate the solution value.
  • Ensure a seamless transition from presales to delivery teams by effectively documenting and handing over solution designs and expectations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through best practices and industry trends to support their data initiatives.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions align with capabilities and customer needs.
  • Advocate for continuous innovation and service excellence, keeping Nephos Technologies at the forefront of the industry.

Technical Skills/Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Presales, Solution Consulting, or similar role within a data-technology focused environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Governance, Management, Security, and Privacy principles and technology solutions that help scale initiatives in these areas.
  • Understanding of how to deploy new technologies within an enterprise environment and the processes that may surround this.
  • Knowledge of differing data types such as Structured and Unstructured data, differing formats of data, as well as access protocols such as CIFS, S3.
  • Experience in translating business requirements into technical solutions, professional and managed service offerings, highlighting quantifiable outcomes.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a fast-paced, consultative sales environment.
  • Prior experience supporting Solution Selling including Managed Services, or Professional Services/ Consultancy engagements.
  • Experience writing Statement of Work documentation and working with delivery teams to price services work.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Experience with data platforms, cloud services, and enterprise data management solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance/risk.
  • Understanding of AI/ML applications and their use cases within organisations, and how data governance can accelerate its use across management, privacy, and security use cases.
  • Technical certifications in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or data governance/management/privacy tools such as BigID, OneTrust, Collibra.
  • Knowledge of using regular expressions (REGEX) or other technical discovery techniques to help with discovering where sensitive data may be stored.

  • Proactive & Adaptable: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adjusting to evolving business needs.
  • Legally able to work in the UK.
