Noted as one of the UK's top tech enterprises by E2E and GPTW, Nephos is a data capability business. We help enterprise organisations across Financial Services, Insurance, and other regulated sectors build and run real data capability — through professional and managed services that make governance, AI readiness, and regulatory compliance stick. We're not a strategy consultancy. We're not a technology reseller. We sit in the space between the two: we build the programmes others only advise on, and we run the functions that vendors only install. Our clients are large, complex organisations with serious data problems and the budget to solve them.

At Nephos Technologies, our values guide the behaviours of how we strive to develop our company, engage with our clients, and support the development of our staff. At its heart, our values can be summed in three words: Innovation, Integrity, and Independence.

As part of our growth strategy, Nephos are seeking a New Business sales representative to join our team. This is a pure new business hunting role. You'll own a named set of enterprise accounts, run structured outbound, and close complex consultative deals with senior buyers — CISOs, CDOs, and DPOs — who are under real regulatory and operational pressure to get their data under control. You'll need domain knowledge in data management or information security, a proven track record of self‑sourcing pipeline, and the ability to navigate complex, multi‑stakeholder deals. Experience in enterprise selling is a must, and familiarity with platforms like BigID, Varonis, or OneTrust is a strong advantage.

Role responsibilities

  • Own and develop your patch: you will be responsible for developing your patch – that means identifying new prospects, performing outreach to meet new prospects and develop and qualify new business opportunities to close.
  • Own your number: you will be responsible for managing sales cycles within your prospects to drive the required pipeline coverage to make sure that you meet quota. You will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of deals in line with internal governance and working alongside our delivery and consulting teams to ensure what we’re selling meets the goals of our customers and our business.
  • Operate with commercial discipline: you are responsible for maintaining good forecast hygiene and reporting with accuracy and timeliness.

Personal Characteristics

  • Someone that is a fast learner, that can understand external governance, risk and security pressures on enterprise organisations in context of our services.
  • Someone that has an appetite and desire to learn, and exceed in the role.
  • The hunger needed to continue to drive pipeline and generate new opportunities for themselves and the business.

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of external, enterprise sales experience selling professional or managed services and/or data management, security, GRC or data governance platforms.
  • Prospecting focussed – the individual must be capable of independent demand generation across multiple channels (email, social media and phone) into our ICP prospects.
  • Proactive Self Starter – the individual must demonstrate the ability to drive their own success in terms of quota attainment; they must take ownership of their own pipeline development and not be inbound dependent.

Advantageous Skills

  • Sales experience with technology platforms such as BigID, Varonis, OneTrust, Cyera.
  • Understanding of data management/governance requirements and their impact on customer needs to solve for them.
  • Personal network and the ability to utilise networking to drive introductions into new prospects.

Other

  • Live within commutable distance of our Paddington office.
  • Legally able to work in the UK.

What we can offer

  • A competitive base salary, between £60-£65,000 per annum depending on experience.
  • Competitive sales compensation plan.
  • Health insurance.
  • Wisdom Wellbeing employee assistance programme.
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Adoption leave.
  • Two Social Impact days per year for volunteering.
  • We love birthdays - receive a special gift!
  • The opportunity to buy and sell up to 5 days holiday per year.
  • Personalised career road map and continuous development.

Inclusion and diversity are paramount to us here at Nephos. All our applicants and employees are treated fairly and respectfully, regardless of any protected characteristic/s. If you require any assistance or reasonable adjustments during your application process with us, then please do not hesitate to contact us - we will always be happy to help.
