The ESG Coordinator plays a key role in delivering NEP UK&I’s environmental and sustainability programmes and supporting the company’s wider ESG initiatives. The role focuses on the health, safety and wellbeing of team members, environmental performance, ISO standards, emissions reduction planning, and sustainability reporting, while also supporting clients through ESG‑focused tender responses and sustainable production initiatives. Working across a wide stakeholder group, the role will collaborate heavily with commercial, operational, marketing, and corporate functions within the NEP organisation. The successful candidate has the opportunity to work from NEP UK's address in Bracknell, Berkshire or NEP Connect's address in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire alongside remote working.
Key Responsibilities
- ISO Management & Compliance: Maintain and support the ongoing implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across NEP UK&I. Assist with internal and external audit preparation, including evidence gathering, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities. Manage documentation relating to leadership, competence, training, risk, and environmental aspects.
- Environmental & Sustainability Initiatives: Support NEP UK&I’s carbon neutrality goal for 2030 through data collection, analysis, and emissions tracking (Scopes 1–3). Maintain annual CO2 emissions datasets, including energy consumption, fuel use, flights, HVO usage, waste, travel, and fleet activity. Coordinate sustainability and carbon reduction initiatives. Support and manage data submissions to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP).
- Health, Safety and Wellbeing: Attend health and safety committees and environmental working groups. Track and expedite actions arising from committee meetings. Research, support and propose solutions for H&S matters.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Support the business development team by providing ESG credentials for client contracts and sustainability‑related requests. Liaise with clients on sustainable production requirements and best practices. Promote environmental awareness internally through training support, including alignment with Albert Sustainable Production training. Production and distribution of CSR related communication material (e.g., marketing, signage, and newsletter content).
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare internal sustainability reports, performance summaries, and audit evidence. Maintain accurate environmental and health & safety records. Support NEP UK&I with annual reviews and where required the drafting and coordination of new policies and procedures.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in environmental management, sustainability, or ESG‑related roles (2+ years).
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, sustainability frameworks, and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across operational teams, clients, suppliers, and leadership.
- Data‑driven approach with strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Ability to prepare clear documentation for audits, clients, and reporting requirements.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to present, negotiate and collaborate across all levels, both internally and externally to NEP UK&I.
- 2 years+ CSR relevant experience.
- Proven track record of policy and process implementation.
- KPI management and reporting.
- Excellent level of PC proficiency.
- Extensive knowledge of international standards audit, requirements.
- Environmental and Health and Safety aspects.
Preferred
- Full / clean driving licence.
- Broadcast industry experience.
- IOSH / NEBOSH occupational health and safety qualifications.
