The Role

As a NOC Engineer, you will be a pivotal part of our Network Operations Center (NOC) team in MediaCityUK. You’ll be the go-to person, ensuring seamless 24/24 operations for both internal and external clients. From live event control to technical troubleshooting, your expertise will help keep the world connected. Responsibilities

  • Take charge of live event control, acting as the main contact point around the clock.
  • Perform quality control and integrity checks on all video and audio signals.
  • Monitor and maintain the performance of operational systems, taking swift corrective action when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with engineering teams, clients, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage occasional use services and coordinate with customers and third‑party providers to meet dynamic requirements.
  • Log technical issues and provide expert advice and support for NEP Connect operations.
  • Utilise NEP Connect’s scheduling systems to manage bookings and ensure flawless service delivery.
  • Participate in routine testing, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of transmission systems.
  • Support and guide production staff, sharing your technical expertise to enhance our service delivery.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications

  • HND or Degree in Broadcast/Electronic Engineering, with at least 2 years of experience in a NOC / broadcast operations environment (or equivalent experience).
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, able to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
  • Keen customer focus and professional etiquette over telephone and talkback.
  • A strong understanding of broadcast system standards and hands‑on experience with a wide range of equipment is desirable.
  • Proficiency in RF and uplink systems is desirable.
  • Live within an hour’s commute of MediaCityUK, Manchester.
