Programme Manager - Major Events & Strategic Delivery
Bring the world’s biggest events to life
You might not know our name, but you’ve probably seen our work – on stage, on screen or on the field. Our technology solutions and unique Global Production Ecosystem empower content creators and rights holders to tell their stories in breakthrough ways. We’ve supported some of the world’s most watched productions and live events across sports, entertainment, concerts, festivals, film, TV and more.
This role offers the opportunity to support some of the world’s largest and most complex events, using the latest technology alongside some of the best people in the industry.
This position is remote in nature with required travel and can be based in the UK, Netherlands or Madrid, Spain.
What You'll Do:
As Programme Manager , you’ll provide the programme management leadership, structure and discipline required to successfully deliver complex, high-profile programmes – including major live events where delivery dates simply cannot move.
Working across functional teams and Initiative Owners, you’ll create and maintain the integrated programme picture, ensuring priorities, milestones, dependencies, decisions, risks and commitments are visible, understood and actively managed.
You’ll play a critical role in turning complexity into clarity and keeping teams focused on successful delivery. This includes:
- Establishing an effective programme operating rhythm, governance structure and appropriate controls without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
- Challenging incomplete thinking, assumptions and plans while protecting delegated ownership and accountability.
- Facilitating cross-functional discussions and helping teams navigate competing priorities and complex delivery challenges.
- Maintaining effective RAID, change control, readiness and decision-management processes.
- Partnering closely with the Managing Director, Major Events & Strategic Delivery, including constructively challenging priorities, focus and delegation when doing so will improve programme outcomes.
This is a hands-on programme leadership role – not an administrative coordination position. You’ll be expected to get into the detail that matters, ask difficult questions, frame decisions and drive action while maintaining strong relationships across the programme.
What You’ll Need
- 5+ years of programme management experience, including advanced experience managing multiple interconnected projects as part of a coordinated programme.
- Demonstrated success leading large, complex, multi-functional programmes with significant executive visibility.
- Strong expertise in integrated planning, critical path management, RAID, dependency management, governance, change control and readiness management.
- Experience working on programmes with demanding or immovable delivery dates; experience within live events, broadcast, sports, entertainment, technology or similarly complex environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to turn complex programme information into clear, concise and decision-oriented narratives.
- Confidence facilitating challenging conversations and constructively holding senior stakeholders and peers accountable without relying on direct authority.
- Strong judgement about what should be resolved within a function, what requires Managing Director involvement and what warrants executive escalation.
- The ability to create structure in a fast-moving and evolving environment without introducing unnecessary process or bureaucracy.
- Exceptional follow-through and attention to the details that materially affect successful delivery, while being able to separate those details from noise.
- A collaborative, pragmatic and calm approach under pressure, with the confidence to hold a position while remaining open to better evidence or solutions.
- Ability to travel, including internationally.
