b Overview /b p As a Prep Engineer in the Lighting Department, you support the setup, testing, and maintenance of lighting fixtures, control gear, FX equipment, and cabling for live events. You work closely with cross-functional teams to prep gear for on-site use and ensure safe, high-quality delivery. You’ll gain exposure across departments, enhancing teamwork and technical knowledge in a fast-paced environment. This role offers hands-on experience with professional lighting systems and live event logistics, making a tangible impact on project success. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Build and configure lighting control systems with racks, processors, switches, DMX nodes and related items /li li Prep and test moving/static fixtures, lighting consoles, FX gear, power/data cabling, and mains distribution /li li Pack equipment for transit and ensure completeness for on-site deployment /li li Perform quality control on prepped systems before shipping /li li Monitor losses/damages and report accordingly /li li Track upcoming rental needs and raise alerts for shortfalls and tight timelines /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li experience with professional lighting equipment (live events advantageous) /li li ability to learn new technology, systems and processes /li li high attention to detail /li li strong interpersonal and communication skills /li li team player willing to collaborate across departments /li li capacity to work in warehouse/ prep environments /li /ul ul li teamwork /li li clear communication /li li initiative /li li lighting control systems /li li rack/configuration of processors, switches, DMX nodes /li li prepping/testing of fixtures and consoles /li /ul
