European Asset Data Controller in Crawley

The Role

The European Asset Data Controller will establish and maintain a single source of truth for asset data across CT Europe.

You will lead asset data governance, data quality, standardisation, asset compliance auditing and reporting across European business units.

The role is central to improving asset visibility, utilisation reporting and investment decision-making, while supporting the future implementation of a single EasyJob environment.

You will work closely with local asset, technical, operational, finance and data teams to introduce common standards, resolve data-quality issues and embed consistent ways of working across Europe.

Primary Objectives

• Establish and maintain common governance standards for European asset data.
• Create a reliable, consistent and auditable single source of truth for asset records.
• Improve the accuracy of asset location, availability, utilisation and performance reporting.
• Lead the harmonisation, cleansing and standardisation of asset data across business units.
• Embed clear compliance reporting, audit routines and corrective action processes.
• Support central asset management and better-informed equipment investment decisions.
• Prepare asset data, documentation and working practices for a single EasyJob environment.
• Build capability through clear SOPs, user guidance, training and ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain European standards for asset naming, product codes, data dictionaries, asset hierarchies, packaging, locations and mandatory fields.
• Act as the approval authority for asset data standards and coordinate changes with relevant European stakeholders.
• Manage asset-data harmonisation programmes and identify duplicate, obsolete, incomplete or inconsistent records.
• Coordinate data-cleansing activity with local teams and monitor completion against agreed standards.
• Support data migration, consolidation and system-alignment initiatives, including preparation for a single EasyJob environment.
• Develop and maintain data-quality compliance reporting across European business units.
• Conduct regular audits covering asset naming, product mapping, mandatory fields, SOP compliance and dashboard reliability.
• Agree and track corrective action plans with local teams where gaps or exceptions are identified.
• Develop an asset-location accuracy framework, supported by exception reporting and reconciliation processes.
• Coordinate inventory audits and cycle-counting processes, and support RFID and barcode initiatives where applicable.
• Support the development and validation of utilisation, availability, ROI, asset-performance, data-quality and compliance reporting.
• Ensure asset data used for operational and investment decisions is accurate, consistent and appropriately controlled.
• Create and maintain EasyJob data-entry standards, SOPs and user guides.
• Deliver onboarding, refresher and role-based training for asset managers and operational teams.
• Act as the subject-matter expert for asset data governance and provide practical support to users across Europe.
• Maintain European certification repositories and ensure required PAT, LOLER and other compliance records are centrally available.
• Support cross-border equipment movements through accurate, accessible asset and certification documentation.

Skills and Experience

• Three to five years of experience in master data management, inventory control, ERP administration or a comparable data-governance role.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with advanced Excel and Ideally Microsoft BI capability.
• Experience managing large-scale datasets, data-quality controls and compliance reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail, process discipline and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Experience coordinating improvement activity across multiple teams, locations or business units.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate data standards into practical guidance for operational users.
• Able to work collaboratively across technical, operational, finance and systems teams.
• EasyJob or equivalent rental ERP experience is desirable.
• Power BI, asset-management, RFID or inventory-tracking experience is desirable.
• Experience in events, production, logistics or technical services would be advantageous.
