Creative Technology AV Technician Opportunity

Creative Technology has an exciting new opportunity for an AV Technician to join the Managed Services team, within Systems Integration. The role is full‑time and based in London with a leading multinational technology company. The AV Technician will be responsible for the planning, coordination and execution of AV production and support for live events and conferencing.

The role involves delivering innovative solutions ensuring all technical aspects are seamlessly executed, providing high-quality audio‑visual experience for the end client. Core working hours will be standard business hours with flexibility required for evening and occasional weekend work. Background verification checks are required for this role.

Operational Responsibilities (Ops)

  • Assist Event Coordinators with technical input for event planning
  • Support the Facilities team with rooms preparation and room setup activities, including furniture layouts, room resets, signage placement, and ensuring meeting and event spaces are presented to the required operational and client standards.
  • Execute on‑site, virtual and hybrid events and productions, ensuring all AV elements are delivered effectively
  • Provide a professional Meet & Greet service for events, including meeting hosts/clients, setting up presentations, testing Teams/AV systems (speakers, microphones), and ensuring confidence in using plug‑and‑play systems
  • Act as a technical point of contact for event hosts, clients and external customers, particularly for large or complex events
  • Engage with contractors and suppliers, including responding to queries, hosting site visits and acting as AV site supervisor where required
  • Work closely with the client technology team to co‑manage AV event spaces, ensuring smooth operation and keeping stakeholders informed of updates or changes
  • Deliver user training on AV systems and event technologies
  • Manage own workload, including diary planning and ad‑hoc end‑user requests
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to deliver a high‑quality AV service

Quality Management System Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update client and Creative Technology documents, procedures and records, ensuring accuracy and completion of departmental forms as required
  • Identify, log, track and resolve AV hardware and software issues, ensuring all tickets are updated and closed with clear resolution summaries
  • Track and maintain records of physical and technical updates within event spaces (e.g. equipment changes)
  • Develop and manage the Events AV Feedback process (MS Forms), including QR distribution, feedback tracking and presenting insights to relevant stakeholders
  • Understand and apply our quality policy statements in all aspects of work
  • Ensure the needs and requirements of internal staff and customers are understood and delivered
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and the management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement opportunities
  • Recommend best practices for events, including support for event media and presentations
  • Conduct post‑event reviews, including reporting and client feedback
  • Create and maintain documentation (SOPs, AV setups, configurations and insights) to support consistency and knowledge sharing
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM), including testing, updating and calibration
  • Handle confidential information in line with contractual NDA requirements

Licenses/Certificates

  • Manual Handling certificate preferable

Experience

  • 3+ years relevant experience working in a similar environment
  • Strong knowledge of modern AV equipment and systems including signal flow and advanced troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 Copilot
