The Role
Creative Technology UK have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Controller to join the team in Crawley. This position is a senior role within the Finance team, responsible for the full breadth of financial reporting and compliance in the UK. Working closely with the Finance Director, the role combines hands‑on management accounting with ownership of financial reporting, tax compliance, working‑capital management, system ownership, budgeting and several business improvement projects.
The Finance Controller will line manage a small team comprising of two or three. They will be responsible for the day‑to‑day oversight, development and performance management of the team, ensuring workloads are well organised, deadlines are met and a strong control environment is maintained. The role requires a hands‑on but empowering management style – someone who can develop staff and review and challenge work effectively.
Main Responsibilities
- Management Accounting & Month‑End
- Oversight of all transaction work in Business Central
- Responsibility for monthly management reporting
- Preparation and review of monthly management packs
- Intercompany balance management
- Fixed asset control
- Balance sheet reconciliation review
- Responsibility for group reporting
- System uploads
- Group reporting packs
- Cash Reporting & Management
- Cash flow reporting and forecasting
- AR reporting and control – invoicing and collections
- AP control and review – postings
