Neosurf is looking for a Junior Treasury Assistant to join our finance team! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers and processes, who wants to play a key role in supporting the smooth financial operations of a fast-paced, international payments business. If you’re organised, analytical and thrive in a role where accuracy and collaboration really matter, we’d love to hear from you.

This role would suit a recent graduate who’s had hands-on exposure to finance through their studies, a placement / part-time role or someone early in their career ready to step up and take ownership. The role is based in WOKING, so you’ll need to be within reasonable commuting distance.

As a Junior Treasury Assistant, you’ll support the day-to-day treasury operations of the business, helping to ensure cash flows, reconciliations and financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external partners, contributing to the accuracy, control, and integrity of our financial activities. Reporting to the Head of Treasury, your role will be to assist in the coordination of settlements and reconciliation of payments whilst maintaining excellent working relationships.

You’ll spend your time:

  • Collection of data to be used for reconciliations, invoice payments and responses to banks and accountants via CFO.
  • Assisting in the set up and preparation of timely and accurate settlement and reconciliation of payments due.
  • Providing support requests from internal stakeholders’ responses in a timely, professional and thorough manner.
  • Supporting month end closing and reporting activities, including the delivery of timely account and invoice information to our accountants.
  • Assisting in managing the operation of digital wallet refunds and withdrawal banking processes and escalation to support compliance exception reports.
  • Maintaining timely and accurate transactional data in the accounting and treasury management system.
  • Aiding the Treasury Manager with weekly and monthly analysis of settlement and issuing data to bring knowledge to the business.
  • Interacting with Decision Science Team on new data analysis supportive output that assists future planning for Treasury forecasting.
  • Assisting any treasury related audit queries including internal and external.
  • Supporting other finance duties to help the treasury/finance team as required.
  • Assisting with any project work and with day-to-day ad hoc treasury duties.

Key attributes, skills and experience:

  • Experience in settlement of multicurrency and international B2B bank settlements.
  • Understanding of wire and payments processing, cash/liquidity management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multi-cultural Fintech environment.
  • Can demonstrate analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Highly motivated; can-do attitude with the willingness to continually update knowledge and skillset.
  • Ability to identify business impacting incidents and escalate according to the escalation process.
  • An understanding of Electronic Money Institutions (EMI) and other payment products.
  • Purchase ledger and accounts payable experience.
  • An understanding of Crypto/Blockchain.
  • Self-motivation and ability to understand responsibility is essential for this role.
