We are seeking an experienced Principal Consultant – Agentic AI, Integration & API Architecture to help shape and lead our growing capabilities around enterprise Agentic AI. This is a senior, client-facing consulting and architecture role focused on helping organisations move from AI experimentation to secure, governed, and production-ready agentic architectures.

The role spans Agentic Architecture, Agent Control Planes, AI Gateways, MCP/A2A, Agentic Security & Governance, Observability and Agentic Quality Engineering, alongside enterprise integration and API architecture. As Agentic AI is an emerging field, we do not expect candidates to have many years of production experience across all these areas.

We particularly welcome experienced Enterprise Integration, API, or Solution Architects who have strong UK consulting experience and have developed credible knowledge and practical exposure to Agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Advisory & Architecture
    • Act as a trusted advisor to CIO, CTO, Enterprise Architecture, Integration, API, and Engineering stakeholders.
    • Lead discovery workshops, architecture assessments, and technical strategy engagements.
    • Define target architectures and pragmatic roadmaps for moving Agentic AI from experimentation into enterprise production.
    • Advise clients on where Agentic AI provides genuine value versus conventional integration, APIs, or workflow automation.
  • Agentic Architecture & Control Plane
    • Design and advise on architectures covering:
      • AI agents and multi-agent systems
      • Agent orchestration and Control Planes
      • AI/model gateways and model routing
      • Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A)
      • Agent/tool discovery and registries
      • Agent identity and delegated identity
      • Human-in-the-loop controls
      • Context engineering and RAG
      • Agent observability, auditability and cost management
      • Agentic Security and Governance
      • Agentic Quality Engineering
      • Hybrid and multi-cloud agent architectures
    • Assess how platforms such as Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Kong, Google Apigee and Azure API Management fit within emerging enterprise agentic architectures.
  • Integration & API Architecture
    • Apply strong enterprise architecture principles across API management, iPaaS, event-driven architecture, application/data integration, microservices, cloud/hybrid integration, security, observability and operational resilience.
  • Consulting & Practice Development
    • Help define NeosAlpha's Agentic AI propositions, methodologies and reference architectures.
    • Support pre-sales discovery, solutioning and proposals.
    • Build agentic PoCs and demos on agent frameworks like Google ADK, LangChain, LangGraph.
    • Present recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
    • Develop thought leadership, workshops, and client demonstrations.
    • Work with technology partners and NeosAlpha engineering teams.
    • Mentor architects and consultants as the practice develops.
    • Identify opportunities to extend existing Integration, API, Data, and QA engagements into Agentic AI.
  • Experience & Skills
    • We are looking for candidates with approximately 10+ years of relevant technology experience, including significant architecture and consulting responsibility.
    • Essential:
      • Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect, Integration/API Architect, Principal Consultant, or equivalent.
      • Strong enterprise integration and/or API architecture background.
      • Demonstrable experience working directly with enterprise clients in the UK market.
      • Ability to independently lead architecture and discovery workshops.
      • Strong stakeholder management and communication with senior technology leaders.
      • Good understanding of cloud-native/distributed architecture, security, governance, resilience and non-functional requirements.
      • Experience taking enterprise solutions from concept and architecture into production.
    • Agentic AI Experience
      • Deep production expertise across every Agentic AI technology is not required. Candidates should, however, demonstrate credible knowledge, hands-on exposure, or architectural understanding across several of:
        • Agentic AI
        • Multi-agent systems
        • MCP
        • A2A
        • AI Gateways
        • Agent Control Planes
        • Agent orchestration
        • RAG/context engineering
        • Agent identity/security
        • AI governance
        • Agent observability
        • Agentic QA
        • LLMOps/AgentOps
      • Candidates should actively follow this rapidly evolving field and be capable of translating emerging technologies into pragmatic enterprise architectures.
    • Technology Exposure
      • Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:
        • Integration/API: Boomi, MuleSoft, Workato, Kong, Google Apigee, Azure API Management or similar platforms.
        • AI/Agent: Azure AI/Foundry, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain/LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, and MCP/agent frameworks.
        • Architectural breadth and the ability to objectively assess technologies are more important than expertise in every vendor platform.
      • Desirable
        • Technology consultancy or systems-integrator background.
        • Experience developing new consulting propositions or practices.
        • API security/Zero Trust and AI governance knowledge.
        • QA automation, performance engineering or security-testing experience.
        • Pre-sales and solution consulting experience.
        • Experience working with UK clients and global/offshore engineering teams.

The Profile We Are Looking For:

This role is particularly suited to an accomplished Integration/API/Solution Architect or Principal Consultant who sees Agentic AI as the next evolution of enterprise architecture. We are not looking purely for an AI/ML researcher, or someone focused mainly on LLM demonstrations. The successful candidate should understand how enterprise technology actually operates across agents, APIs, integrations, identity, security, data, governance, testing, and production operations.

The ideal combination is: Enterprise Architecture Depth + Agentic AI Capability + Client Consulting + Commercial Thinking.

The individual should be comfortable operating in an emerging field, forming informed architectural opinions, challenging vendor narratives, and helping clients make pragmatic technology decisions.

      What Success Looks Like:

Within the first 6–12 months, the successful candidate should:

      • Lead client-facing Agentic AI architecture and discovery engagements.
      • Establish reusable NeosAlpha Agentic AI reference architectures and methodologies.
      • Develop offerings around Agentic Architecture & Control Plane, Agentic Security & Governance, and Agentic Quality Engineering.
      • Support client demonstrations and accelerators.
      • Create opportunities to extend existing Integration, API, and QA relationships into Agentic AI.
      • Build internal capability through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

The objective is to strengthen NeosAlpha's position as a trusted enterprise technology partner capable of taking Agentic AI from experimentation to secure, governed, and production-ready adoption.
