We are partnering on a confidential search for a high-growth, private equity-backed advisory firm continuing to scale its Office of the CFO and Transaction Advisory platform across the U.S. This opportunity sits at the intersection of:
- M&A / transaction accounting
- finance transformation
- controllership advisory
- private equity portfolio company support
The team works directly with CFOs, PE sponsors, and executive leadership teams across acquisitions, carve-outs, IPO readiness, audit readiness, and operational finance transformation initiatives. This is not a traditional accounting role — it is a highly execution-focused advisory position within fast-moving deal environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support buy-side and sell-side transaction accounting engagements
- Work across audit readiness, carve-outs, integrations, and IPO / capital markets activity
- Advise on ASC 606, ASC 805, ASC 842 and complex accounting issues
- Improve finance operations across Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report
- Build financial models, reporting dashboards, and data-driven insights using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.
- Partner directly with CFOs, controllers, PE sponsors, and senior stakeholders
Ideal Background
- CPA qualified
- 4+ years within Big4 Advisory (FAAS / CMAAS / Deals), Transaction Advisory, or PE-focused consulting environments
- Exposure to M&A, transaction accounting, SEC reporting, or finance transformation
- Strong Excel / analytical capability with a hands-on mindset
- Experience in PE-backed, transaction-driven, or capital markets environments highly attractive
