Neos Talent has been retained to support a high-growth, private equity-backed advisory firm that is rapidly expanding its CFO Advisory and Value Creation platform across the United States. We are seeking a commercially driven Managing Director to help build market presence, deepen client relationships, and drive growth within a successful and highly entrepreneurial practice.

This opportunity is ideally suited to someone who enjoys originating opportunities, building trusted relationships with investors and executives, and helping middle-market businesses solve complex financial and operational challenges. While delivery leadership remains important, this is first and foremost a growth-oriented leadership role with a strong emphasis on business development, client acquisition, and practice building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand relationships with private equity sponsors, operating partners, lenders, investment bankers, and C-suite executives
  • Originate and lead advisory engagements across CFO advisory, finance transformation, FP&A, performance improvement, M&A integration, value creation, and operational finance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to CEOs, CFOs, Boards, investors, and portfolio company leadership teams
  • Drive go-to-market initiatives and identify cross-selling opportunities across multiple advisory service lines
  • Lead, mentor, and develop consulting teams while maintaining executive oversight of client engagements
  • Contribute to the continued growth, strategy, and market positioning of the practice

Ideal Background

  • 15+ years of consulting, advisory, operating, finance, transformation, restructuring, or value creation experience
  • Demonstrated success building senior-level relationships and generating revenue opportunities
  • Experience working with private equity firms, portfolio companies, and middle-market organisations
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with Boards, CEOs, CFOs, and investors
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to help build and scale a growing platform
  • Background from a leading advisory, consulting, restructuring, transaction, or value creation environment, or from an operational leadership role within a sponsor-backed business

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join one of the fastest-growing advisory platforms in the market
  • Significant opportunity to shape and influence the future direction of the practice
  • Strong private equity relationships and consistent deal flow
  • Collaborative, non-political culture with access to multiple service lines
  • Attractive economics directly linked to business generation and practice growth
  • Equity participation opportunity
  • Ability to make a visible impact within a growth-oriented platform rather than a large, mature consulting hierarchy

If you have a track record of developing client relationships, generating opportunities, advising investors, and helping businesses create value, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
