NEOS Engineering are currently working with a well-established engineering business specialising in the manufacture, repair and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment used across the marine, construction and civil engineering sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Fabricator Welder who enjoys working on large-scale, bespoke fabrication projects rather than repetitive production work. No two days are the same, with work ranging from building barges and repairing excavator buckets to fabricating heavy-duty steel structures, handrails, side rails and marine equipment.
The Role
- Fabrication and welding of barges, boats and marine structures
- Manufacture of heavy-duty steel fabrications from engineering drawings and, at times, from specifications alone
- Repair and refurbishment of excavator buckets and heavy plant attachments
- Fabrication of handrails, side rails, spud piles and bespoke steel components
- Butt welding heavy wall tube up to 700mm diameter and lengths up to 18 metres
- Carrying out safe lifting operations on large fabrications
- Working with MIG, TIG, Arc and Oxy-Acetylene welding processes, as well as cutting equipment, band saws and more.
