NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Attachments Fitter / Hydraulic Engineer to join a growing engineering team based in Bridgwater.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of excavator attachments, supporting customers across the construction, infrastructure, rail, and energy sectors.

The Role – Attachments Fitter / Plant Engineer

  • Installing and fitting hydraulic attachments to excavators and construction machinery.
  • Attending customer sites to carry out attachment installations, repairs, and breakdown support.
  • Diagnosing and repairing hydraulic and mechanical faults.
  • Adjusting excavator hydraulic flow rates and pressure settings to match attachment requirements (training provided).
  • Maintaining and repairing a range of construction equipment and hire fleet machinery.
  • Carrying out inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance.
  • Supporting customers with technical advice and equipment solutions.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high engineering standard.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised workshop and working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

You will ideally have:

  • Experience working with hydraulic excavator attachments.
  • Knowledge of construction plant and heavy machinery.
  • Understanding of hydraulic systems, valves, cylinders, and components.
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
  • Experience servicing and maintaining plant equipment.
  • Ability to work independently on customer sites.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
