Heavy Plant Fitter Birmingham / West Midlands
£17.50ph – £20ph + Overtime Available
NEOS Engineering are working with a well-known OEM who are looking to add 2 x Plant Fitters to their team in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity for a Plant Fitter who wants to develop their knowledge and skillset while working directly with a main manufacturer.
The ideal candidate will come from a Heavy Plant, Construction Plant, Agricultural or similar engineering background , with experience working on machinery such as JCB, CAT, Komatsu, Sennebogen or similar. You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering or a related discipline .
The role will involve servicing, maintaining, repairing and preparing ADTs and associated machinery, working from the Birmingham site alongside an experienced engineering team. The company offers excellent manufacturer training, giving successful candidates the opportunity to develop their skills on complex machinery.
The Role: Service, maintenance and repair of ADTs and heavy plant machinery
Mechanical and electrical fault finding and diagnostics
Working on diesel engines, hydraulic systems and associated components
Inspecting and preparing machinery for use
Working alongside the wider engineering team to ensure equipment is maintained to a high standard
Manufacturer training provided on ADTs and associated machinery
The Candidate: Experience working on Construction Plant, Agricultural, Quarrying or similar machinery
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance, Agricultural Engineering or similar
Experience with hydraulics, diesel engines and fault finding
Full UK Driving Licence
Keen to develop their skills and receive manufacturer training
Comfortable working in a workshop/depot environment
