Plant Engineer Surveyor Birmingham £40,500 to £45,000 + Vehicle + Overtime + Bonus An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Engineer Surveyor with a background in cranes, plant machinery, or lifting equipment. The Role: As an Engineer Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting, servicing, and assessing a wide range of lifting and plant machinery across customer sites. The role involves regular travel and overnight stays, offering great variety and independence in your daily work. Key Responsibilities: Carry out inspections on cranes, lifting equipment, and plant machinery Ensure compliance with LOLER & PUWER regulations Accurately report on equipment condition and recommend follow-up actions Build and maintain strong client relationships Work safely at height and in confined spaces Travel across the UK with occasional weekend overtime and overnight stays The Ideal Candidate: HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Engineering preferred LEEA-accredited (or working toward) highly desirable Hands-on experience maintaining, servicing, or repairing heavy plant or lifting equipment Backgrounds welcome from: Field Service, Manufacturing, Forces (Army, Navy, RAF), Distribution, Marine, Rail, Aeronautical, Automotive Solid understanding of LOLER & PUWER regulations Self-sufficient, confident in decision-making, and safety-conscious Comfortable with nationwide travel and overnight stays What’s on Offer: Basic salary from £40,500 to £45,000 (higher for experienced engineers) Company vehicle + fuel card Phone and tablet provided Weekend overtime available Stay-away allowance Performance-related Christmas bonus Annual pay and performance reviews Private healthcare Company pension Ongoing training & development opportunities Attitude and hands-on experience matter most.
