About the Role
NEOS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected contractor offering long-term career development, professional growth, and involvement in a wide range of civil engineering projects across groundworks, infrastructure, and utilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and tenders for civil engineering projects.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess scope and project risks.
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers to obtain competitive material and subcontractor quotations.
- Conduct site visits and assessments where required.
- Develop and maintain cost databases, rate schedules, and supplier relationships.
- Support project teams with cost analysis, value engineering, and commercial guidance.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities and tender documentation in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all estimates meet commercial, technical, and compliance requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in estimating within the civil engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of groundworks, infrastructure, and utilities.
- Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
