An exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Attachment Fitter to join a busy Bristol-based engineering team supporting customers across the South West. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, maintenance, and repair of hydraulic attachments and small plant tools, ensuring all equipment meets quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Workshop-based fitting, assembly, and refurbishment of hydraulic attachments (breakers, grabs, rotators, etc.)
- Maintenance and repair of hydraulic small tools and plant equipment
- Fault-finding, inspection, and replacement of parts such as hoses, seals, and fittings
- Preparing attachments and small plant tools for hire or sale
- Working from technical drawings and manuals when required
- Maintaining accurate records of completed work and parts used
- Ensuring the workshop remains clean, organised, and safe
- Assisting with general workshop and engineering duties as needed
- Proven experience as a mechanical fitter, ideally within hydraulic systems, plant, or attachment environments
- Strong understanding of hydraulic circuits, hoses, and small plant tools
- Confident using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
- Mechanical or engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds) desirable but not essential with relevant experience
- Competitive salary (£38,000 – £42,000)
- Consistent daytime working hours (Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 5:00 pm)
