NEOS Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established construction equipment company based near Hemel Hempstead. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Workshop PDI Engineer to join their team.
As a Workshop PDI Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI), commissioning, and preparation of new and used construction machinery prior to handover. This is a workshop-based role, ensuring all machines meet manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and customer expectations before delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out PDI inspections on new and used construction machinery
- Prepare, commission, and test machines prior to customer delivery
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults identified during PDI
- Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures
- Accurately complete inspection reports and related documentation
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, cleanliness, and safety within the workshop
- Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and management to meet delivery deadlines
- Proven experience working on construction or plant machinery
- Strong mechanical knowledge; hydraulic and electrical experience is advantageous
- Own tools suitable for workshop-based work
