Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 + Overtime (£55,000+)

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing engineering business for a Commercial / Industrial Electrician covering Manchester and the wider North West region. This is a mobile role involving the installation, maintenance, fault finding and repair of electrical systems and equipment across a variety of commercial, industrial and manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will work on electrical distribution systems, motors, control equipment, industrial installations and associated plant, providing both planned and reactive support to customers throughout the region. This role would suit an experienced Industrial Electrician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer or Installation Electrician looking for a varied position with excellent overtime opportunities and long-term career prospects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, maintenance and repair of commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning of electrical installations.
  • Planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown response.
  • Installation and maintenance of motors, control panels and associated equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Ensuring compliance with BS7671 and current electrical regulations.
  • Producing accurate service reports and documentation.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relationships.
  • Working independently across multiple customer sites.

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
  • ECS Gold Card.
  • IPAF.
  • PASMA.
  • 2391 Inspection & Testing.
  • Experience with motors, drives and control systems.
  • Experience with control panels and industrial switchgear.
  • PLC fault-finding experience.
  • Knowledge of industrial process equipment.
  • Previous field service experience.
