NEOS Engineering is recruiting on behalf of a busy and well-established plant maintenance company based near Reading. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team, working on-site with clients across the region.
As a Mobile Heavy Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of heavy plant machinery at customer sites. This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy plant machinery at customer sites
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Work in line with manufacturer guidelines and company procedures
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and report any issues to management
- Ensure all work meets high standards of quality, safety, and reliability
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to coordinate work
- Promote a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Proven experience as a heavy plant fitter, ideally with mobile fieldwork experience
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge
- NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Plant Maintenance, Engineering, or a related discipline, or willingness to work towards this qualification
- Own tools suitable for the role
- Ability to work independently, managing time and priorities effectively
