NEOS Engineering are partnered with a leading contractor delivering complex quarry, heavy industrial and bulk materials handling projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager / Site Manager to support the delivery of a major quarry project based in Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a quarrying, mining, aggregates, heavy industrial, rail, steelwork or M&E construction background who is comfortable managing site activity, subcontractors, health & safety and project delivery on technically challenging installations.
The successful candidate could come from a mechanical, electrical, civils or M&E QA background, providing they have strong site leadership experience and a solid understanding of CDM regulations and health & safety compliance.
The Role:- Managing day-to-day site operations on a live quarry/heavy industrial project
- Coordinating subcontractors across mechanical, electrical, civils and steelwork packages
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with programme
- Overseeing RAMS, permits, toolbox talks and site compliance
- Managing project progress, reporting and client communication
- Supporting installation, commissioning and QA processes where required
- Driving HSE standards across all site activities
- Previous experience as a Project Manager, Site Manager or Construction Manager
- Background within quarrying, mining, aggregates, rail, steelwork, bulk handling or heavy industrial projects
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and site health & safety
- SMSTS essential
- TWC / Temporary Works Coordinator highly desirable
- Experience coordinating M&E packages or industrial installations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Able to work in fast-paced industrial environments
- Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience
