NEOS Engineering are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Plant Fitter to join a well-established and highly respected heavy plant dealership based in Newry. The Role

  • As a Workshop Plant Fitter, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment:
    • Excavators
    • Dumpers
    • Mini Excavators
    • Tracked Dumpers
    • Agricultural Tractors
  • This is predominantly a workshop-based role where you'll diagnose faults, complete repairs efficiently and ensure equipment is maintained to the highest standard before returning to customers.
  • Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Repairing engines, transmissions, hydraulics and electrical systems.
  • Completing inspections and preparing machines for delivery.
  • Working safely and maintaining high workshop standards.

Previous experience as a Plant Fitter, Workshop Engineer, Service Engineer or Heavy Plant Technician.

Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills.

Experience working on construction plant, agricultural machinery or heavy equipment.

NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
