An opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team working across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role will involve overseeing the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial performance and cost control throughout delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects
- Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
- Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and payments
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasting
- Identifying and managing commercial risks
- Supporting operational teams with commercial guidance
- Managing change control and contractual matters
- Producing regular commercial reports for senior management
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
- Strong background within civils/infrastructure projects essential
- Experience across highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities or RC structures preferred
- Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
