An opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a busy commercial team working across a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects. The role will involve overseeing the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial performance and cost control throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects
  • Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
  • Managing subcontractor accounts, variations and payments
  • Monitoring project costs, budgets and forecasting
  • Identifying and managing commercial risks
  • Supporting operational teams with commercial guidance
  • Managing change control and contractual matters
  • Producing regular commercial reports for senior management

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering
  • Strong background within civils/infrastructure projects essential
  • Experience across highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities or RC structures preferred
  • Good understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
