Exciting opportunities are available for enthusiastic, experienced, and highly motivated Mobile Service Engineers to join a growing service team supporting customers across the UK. Operating from depots in Tamworth and Edinburgh, these roles are ideal for team players with strong experience in the aggregates, quarrying, and recycling sectors, particularly those with a background in servicing, maintaining, and repairing crushing and screening equipment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new crushing and screening equipment upon arrival from the factory.
- Perform on-site installation, set-up, and commissioning of new equipment at customer locations.
- Undertake fault finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
- Carry out service, repair, and preventative maintenance within an assigned territory, both on customer sites and at depot locations.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with manufacturer standards and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain clear communication with the service department and customers regarding machine status and required repairs.
Engineers are supported by a highly experienced service department and benefit from a strong culture of ongoing technical training and development.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within construction, quarrying, aggregates, or recycling sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of crushing and screening equipment.
- Solid experience in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostics and repair.
- Ability to confidently interpret and work from electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Competent in welding and light fabrication.
- Good level of computer literacy for reporting and diagnostics.
- Full UK driving licence (essential for field-based role).
