NEOS Engineering are working with a well-established and growing organisation within the heavy plant and construction equipment sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Heavy Plant Engineer to cover the Ipswich and surrounding areas. The Role

  • As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a range of heavy plant and construction equipment at customer sites.
  • You'll be the face of the business, providing a first-class service while ensuring machines are returned to service safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery at customer sites.
  • Carry out fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Complete planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns.
  • Diagnose faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment where required.
  • Inspect machines and identify additional repair opportunities.
  • Complete all job sheets and service reports accurately.
  • Work closely with the parts and service departments.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Deliver an excellent level of customer service.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking to speak with engineers from one of the following backgrounds: Heavy Plant, Construction Plant, Agricultural Machinery. You may currently be working as a: Heavy Plant Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Mobile Plant Engineer, Construction Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Agricultural Engineer, Mobile Service Engineer.

To be successful you'll ideally have:

  • Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy plant or construction plant equipment.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to work independently in the field.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
