An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join a growing contractor delivering a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders across a variety of civils packages including earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities and reinforced concrete works.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documentation
- Producing take-offs and pricing labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Assessing project risks and commercial considerations during tender stage
- Liaising with operational and commercial teams throughout the bid process
- Supporting value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Attending pre-tender and client meetings where required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within civil engineering estimating
- Strong civils/infrastructure background essential
- Experience pricing works including highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities or RC works
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
