Neos Engineering are partnered with a well-established and growing organisation based in Wakefield, currently seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and professional driver looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential, and consistent overtime.
The Role
This is a full-time, permanent position working 39 hours per week, with significant overtime available. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering equipment to customer sites, carrying out lifting operations where required, and ensuring full compliance with transport legislation and company standards. This role requires someone confident, customer-focused, and capable of managing their own workload while representing the business professionally on site.

The Candidate
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience driving Class 2 HGV vehicles
- Confidence carrying out lifting operations (HIAB experience advantageous but not essential)
- A valid UK Driving Licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Good understanding of driver compliance and road transport regulations
- Strong customer-facing skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
ADR is desirable but not essential — training can be provided for the right candidate.
The Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate: £17.00–£18.00 (depending on experience)
- Overtime paid at 1.5x after 4:30pm (Thursday after 3:30pm)
- Saturday 6am–12pm at 1.5x, after 12pm at Double Time
- Sundays paid at Double Time
- One driver earned £90,000–£100,000 in a year due to overtime availability
