Location: Bristol & Surrounding Areas
Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

NEOS Engineering are recruiting on behalf of our client for a skilled Generator Engineer to join their team in Bristol. This is a hands-on, field-based role working on a variety of diesel generators, providing maintenance, repair, and commissioning services for critical power systems.
Key Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and repair diesel generators of various sizes

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and control system faults

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs

Commission and decommission generator systems on client sites

Perform load bank testing and system performance verification

Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
-
Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures

Provide professional technical advice to clients on-site
Requirements
-
Proven experience working on diesel generators, ideally in industrial, commercial, or critical power environments

Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
-
Experience with control systems and engine management systems

Familiarity with major engine brands (Perkins, Cummins, MTU, Volvo) advantageous

Full UK driving licence

Excellent communication skills and a professional approach

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
