Generator Maintenance Engineer
South / South-East London

Neos Engineering are partnered with a well-established and reputable critical power systems provider, who operate nationwide across standby power, UPS, and generator maintenance markets. With a strong financial position and over 40 years of industry expertise, they are now looking to strengthen their engineering team with a dedicated Generator Maintenance Engineer based in the South/South-East London area.
The Role
-
Conduct planned preventative maintenance, remedial works and fault-finding on diesel generators ranging from 10kVA to 2MVA.

Attend reactive call-outs as a first responder, resolving on-site issues with minimal disruption to the client.

Utilise diagnostic software such as Comap PC Suite and DSE Configuration Suite.

Accurately complete service reports and communicate effectively with the support team.

Participate in a paid call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support where required.

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and professionalism as a mobile brand ambassador.

Work primarily within your assigned region, with occasional travel and overnight stays across the UK.
The Candidate

Minimum of 3 years\β hands-on experience as a Generator Service Engineer or similar field-based role.

Strong practical knowledge of LV electrical power generation and distribution systems.

Competent with software-based control systems (e.g., Comap, Deep Sea).

Confident working independently with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.

Comfortable with regular driving and remote working.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

IT proficient, including experience with Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
Desirable:

IEE 18th Edition qualified.
